Co-design

The factory knows things
your CAD doesn't.

A supplier who has made ten thousand versions of your part can tell you, in an afternoon, which features are free and which ones are quietly expensive. That knowledge is worth the most before the design is locked — and almost nothing after.

What suppliers tell you early

  • Which tolerances you actually need to hold, and which ones you called out by habit
  • Where a wall, radius or draft angle is fighting the process you chose
  • Which features force an extra operation, a side action, or a second setup
  • Where a different material or finish gets you the same result for less
  • What can stay exactly as designed — often more than teams expect

Why it has to happen early

Once geometry is frozen and downstream parts are designed against it, every manufacturing note becomes a revision cycle: re-CAD, re-check fit, re-run the assembly. Teams end up paying for the design they already have rather than changing it.

Bringing suppliers in during design turns that into a conversation instead of a change order. You keep the design intent that matters to you and give up the parts that were never load-bearing decisions in the first place.

If changes are still possible, say so. That's where we can help most.
Mutual NDA — accept here, no back and forth Mutual, two years of disclosure, no exclusivity, no right of first refusal, survives whether or not you order. It permits us to share only what a supplier needs to quote your part, and only with suppliers under equivalent written terms.

Straight answers

The questions engineers actually ask.

How do you make money?

A percentage of parts value, built into the quoted price. No retainer, no equity, no fee for the design review or the quote. If you don't order, you've paid nothing and you keep the feedback.

Why not just use a sourcing agent?

Most can find someone to make a plastic enclosure. Fewer can read your drawing and tell you which callouts are costing you money, or which supplier will accept a 12-unit order and iterate with you three times. We work on robotics parts specifically, and we start before the design is frozen.

Isn't design feedback just a way to sell us parts?

We only make money if you order, so yes — our incentive is for you to like the quote. That's also why we tell you which features to keep. A review that changed everything would be a review nobody trusts.

What about freight, duties and compliance?

Quotes exclude freight and duties and say so. We'll tell you the landed cost before you commit, and flag anything in your BOM where sourcing origin affects your ability to certify the finished product.

Who owns the design?

You do. We sign a mutual NDA before opening files, every supplier signs one before receiving them, and tooling you pay for belongs to you. We don't quote your parts to anyone else and we don't build a competing product.

What if we want to go direct later?

Then you go direct. We're not hiding the factories from you. Most customers stay because the value is in the next forty parts, not the one you already sourced.
